GOD OR GOLD

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”. – Psalms

” The lust of gold succeeds the rage of conquest”. – Samuel Johnson

” There is a God within us”. – Ovid

God and Gold – both are very precious in this world. We, the most of the people want obviously gold, not God . If it would be surveyed , it will be found that majority of us are interested in gold , not of invisible God . Why do we run for gold, not for God ? There are so many causes behind it. I will discuss today about the psychology of a man who desires gold , and not to see God or hankering after spiritual knowledge . In fact , We do not know about our destination. And no one advice us to take the right direction where to go , and what should be our lifegoal ! We grow up through a steriotype life journey.

As a result, we are totally confused about what to do or don’t . Like all, we start our life journey in a same manner which others are doing on or going to . Start getting education from the age of 3/4 years and ends up it with higher education. Our parents or guardians as well as children generally used to dream a good and honourable professional life or career. For bright future , they become busy to rat – race . They dream of a good salaries, a well furnished flat , and a beautiful wife or husband. Next they’re busy in office works . They have little time to maintain family affairs. As they’re going through a micro family, so their problem is acute. They spend the weekend along with their spouse and children. Even they are unable to look after their parents. Most of the parents are not happy with this situation. They generally meet together once in a year, or two. So, it’s a matter of pain . Parents want to live with their child in their old age, but they don’t get it.

What I am wanting to tell that our new generations are running towards gold . They are spending time in storing money in banks . Purchasing several flats , gold’s, and other properties. The more they are enjoying, the more they wanting.

Besides, there’s a portion of youths who are struggling to get a minimum livelihood day and night. Unemployment is the another problem prevailing a massive impact on the youths. They are seeking to employ anywhere, but Government has not been providing any job for the educated adults. So gold is afar to them. Being frustrated they are going to evil activities. Some of them are depressed having got no alternative source of income.

But they’re few people who looted our valuable capitals of public money like Nirav Modi and so on. Politicians like Lallu Prasad and so many are also responsible for the situation . If it’s meteculously scaned by ED and CBI , it would have been as if to search the thief in the village no one is found perfect . After independence, our only development is to taking bribes cores of money and to storing public money ( government ) in their individual Bank accounts . In Bengal , political Dada’s are the most solvent. BJP leaders are shouting at the corruption of Trinamul MP and the nephew of TMC suprimo, Mr. Abhishek Benerjee. And obviously it’s true that being a young guy how does he possesses the numerous buildings in Kolkata which are so costly. He was caught red-handed by the ED with gold , but CM’s police has rescued him from the ED while Mr. Banerjee was returning from Malaysia. It happened in Kolkata Airport.

There are so many scam cases which is running under investigation by the CBI . Rose Valley, Sarada , Narada, very recently illegal Cow- scammer’s case , aamphan money laundering etc – all these are real pictures of the corruption in our society . Even so many administrative officers are involved in corruption and also running towards gold hoarding . Though they’re getting massive salary, despite they’re not happy. They’re misusing our capitals.

So really we’re far away from God. God is there where there’s no corruption, no scams, no adulteration, no bad mannarism, no cheating , no falsehood. The more we will be busy in personal or self – upliftment , the more we will be far beyond of success. Now it’s urgent need of self introspection. Do we truly achieve the goal? We have some duties and responsibilities to the country as well as for society. We live in a society where all get together in our good or bad days . So , as an individual we belong to a society on which we are indebted too much. The service to society and also service for the country is our birth right and our primary duties . But it’s scarcely found that our erstwhile and modern generation are not serious about it. We should think that if our country becomes rich , we would be also riches. Our Country is our God. Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattapaddhay utteredBande Mataram” to his motherland in his novel “Anandamath”. To serve its people who are poor, week , in trouble , is to serve the God . God is not in the remote, He or She is nearer to us. God, by the name of poor, week , ill- health , are waiting for our service . Go there and take care of them. Swami Vivekananda advised us in such a way. Hence, Our goal should be fixed in this line . ” Nannya Pantha Vidmate Aionayo “.

HOW TO GET TOUCH WITH GOD

Dr. Sushil Rudra Durgapur , W. Bengal

BELUR
PRIME MINISTER IN BELUR MATH

WAY TO GOD

Have faith in God ? This is the first question to be had in your mind. We must not go anywhere, neither you ought to go Temple or Church or any religious place , nor any Guru or Master. Your inner “I” is your ideal Guru . Look into the deep down inside your heart blocking all the windows outside . But this is a very tough and mammoth task of human being.

WHAT WE DO ?

We generally take initiatives in the materialistic world and try to achieve success in this areas. Swami Vivekananda didn’t avoid this outer world . He has tried to spread science and technology in his motherland for meterialistic betterment . In spite of that , his was a great vision for the East and West.

HIS MISSION :

Man making was his main motto. That’s why, he emphasized in the practice of spiritual education along with the modern curriculum. Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi also opinioned to the same curriculum. But We used to practice with the erstwhile curriculum which was formulated by the British Government . After independence , several times our Education Policy has been changed, but never we introduced the concept of this great men . It’s extremely saddestic.

HIS MISSION IS NOT FULFILLED :

As a result, we are lagging behind in respect to Human resources. It’s found corruptions in the machinery of administration, judiciary and everywhere. Politicians are the most corrupted . Recently some BSF Commanders are arrested by the ED and CBI for Cows scams. They took bribes cores of money . So it’s proved that our borders are not safe at all if it’s the case . No , it’s not my subjects of discussion .

As I am the successor of the ancient intellectuals, I do believe that without spiritual education our development in all spheres of life must not be fulfilled. True spiritual education starts obviously from home. And the parents and other family members are the most responsible for imparting this spiritual growth amongst their children. But a lot of time the children used to spend in school . Besides , most of the parents are busy outside in jobs. So there’s no such invironment in the family where the children learns about knowledge of spirituality.

CHANGING SOCIETY :

In my childhood days we have a little space for practicing spirituality . But my daughter has not been given such learning . She is in the era of technology and always busy with it in order to preparing her dissertation or projects. So I couldn’t able to impart spiritual knowledge. In her primary school some story books pertaining to mythology were selected for rapid reading. But during adulthood they’re busy in their syllabus. The case is same in respect of all the students. So how can they feel about the spiritual world. A man or woman is not perfectly a human being without the achieving of the inner knowledge which we get from spiritual practice.

PROBLEM TO IMPLEMENT :

Then how can we introduce this culture amongst the new generation ?

At present, Yoga education has been included in the curriculum. Through yoga it will be easy to control the mind . Here the role of Yoga teacher is highly needed to impart the spiritual knowledge along with the Aasanas. Another important thing is to impart training on meditation. At present in every Higher Education institute ( IIT, IIM , NIT) there’s a post of Psychologist and they look after the students who are suffering in stress and anxiety. Because it is a high competitive level of education where mostly are under mental pressure. Their dream is stupendous. So the quantity of stress is high enough. If they practice regularly yoga and meditation , they will be able to overcome the challenges they face of. I know that they have little time to practice it , but it should be compulsive to them to maintain it in their routine. Ultimately they will come close to God in such a way.

VALUE EDUCATION:

Value education to be implemented to everyone is must duty and responsibility of the government. It’s urgent need to impart value education for the students as well as new generation .

Secondly, it should be given to all the government workers, political leaders, doctors, teachers and administrators .

Thirdly, the members of the NON- PROFIT-ORGANISATION, members of the private sector must be given training of moral and value education.

Fourthly, there should be a vigilance committee to look into this matter seriously. If there is found any pitfalls or irregular activities , immediately they should be penalised .

CONCLUSION :

India, our motherland , never demolished. It’s just like Phinix Birds . The more you try to burn it, the more it will be survived . Never it dies . Our India will never die. The vitality , the backbone of India is her spirituality. India will be flourished with this energy.

India’s ‘masala king’, dies at 97, padmabhushan Dharampal Gulati, fondly known as “Mahashay ji”, a well-Known businessman of India’s renowned spice company, Mahashian Di Hatti (MDH), died at age of 97 due to sudden cardiac arrest in New Delhi. He was admitted to Mata Chanda Devi Hospital. Last year, Dharampal Gulati was awarded the Padma Bhushan by President Ram Nath Kovind for his outstanding contribution in the field of trade and industry, food processing.Born in Sialkot (now in Pakistan) on March 27, 1923, he moved to India after the Partition and set up his business in Delhi. The spice company, MDH was initially found by his late father Mahashay Chunni Lal Gulati. Dharampal is also a social worker and today many schools and hospitals have opened because of him. During the same corona transition period, Mahasri Dharampala Gulati provided 7500 PPE kits to Delhi government. Today, his death has triggered a wave of mourning in the Arya Samaj and the country including the business world.Mahashay Dharampal Gulati was dropped out of school in fifth. He set up a small business of soaps, mirrors and carpentry with the help of his father Chunnilal. He further expanded his business selling cloth and hardware but could not succeed. Later he joined his family business of making spices under the name of Mahashian Di Hatti, which was also known as ‘Degi Mirch wale’.In India, he made Amritsar his first stop but after a few days, he moved to Delhi with his elder brother. Initially in Delhi, he started working as a cart puller. He did many things including carpentry but due to his age-old experience in the spice business, he started a small spice shop.

I have discussed in the last post about Tomas Saheb who like Mahashay established Bata Company. Late Dharampala Gulati is the instance of the rare businessman who sacrificed his whole life believing in a motto that he must reached at the goal. Being an uneducated man he had managed a big company where many educated workers are engaged there under his supervision. His life and activities should be a mission to the youngsters who are looking for government services or any employment. If they’re interested in business, they should follow up with his determination and success which can inspire them abundantly.

THE DECAYING HOME OF TRINAMUL

Durgapur, West Bengal. 04:12:2020

It’s very high time for the political parties of West Bengal . Coming new year Bidhan Sabha Election is going to be happened in the very first month of the year. Recently Bihar new Government has been formed after a high competition between the BJP RJD r of Nitish Kumar and the Mohajot of heading by Tesjwasree Yadav . Nitish alliances won the election very merginally and at last Nitish again has swarn as the Chief Minister of Bihar.

Now is the turn of our state , West Bengal. This time it’s still not sure who will ulmately win in the battle of power. Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee and her soldiers are planning strategies how to fight against the Modi’s suffron brigade. Congress and Left party joined together . Congress chief leader of W. Bengal Mr. Adhir chowdhury has some wonderful charismatic influence on the voters of Murshidabad. Leftist is better than last election. But this Mohajot would curtail the Muslim votes of ruling party Trinamool. Congress and CPM would have been managed some seats from Murshidabad, Malda and North 24 Parganas as these are mostly muslims voters. But there’s a great question mark (?) . If MIMIM party comes forward to compete in the election, I think this religion – oriented party must come and they’ll get some seats here in Bengal like Bihar. All Muslim votes will go in favour of them. Here ruling party, Trinamol is trying to get support from them . Recently some MIMIM leaders came nearer to the leaders of Trinamoll . But this time it’s very difficult to win in the battle for Trinamull Party as there’s many more divisions, discontent amongst the leaders. Most of the Trinamull leaders are not satisfied with the party- strategist , Prashant Kishore and Avishek Banerjee, the nephew of Trinamull suprimo. Shuvendu Adhikari resigned from the Ministry and others posts which he has enjoyed for a long time. He was a dynamic leader in the party . Some MLA’s recently joined in the Bharatiya Janata party. Probably some are waiting and watching the situation. If they join in BJP , so the suffron brigade would be solid and strengthful .

Mamta Banerjee is a shrude politician and experienced than the BJP leader. They are new in West Bengal. Moreover, BJP President and Chief of West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh is not so competent like Mamtaji. But this election is highly competitive both for the present ruling party and Bharatiya Janata party. Congress and CPM will mar some votes of Trinamul , but they couldn’t get majority at all. Might be they will get some seats. This is much for them . If I am not wrong , this election is a game of 50/50 of both the TMC and BJP . But BJP is in forefront. I think it is the golden time for BJP to spread in Bengal . Mamta’s leaders are not United as before . The leaders who came from CPM and Congress , they are not happy with the Kolkata- oriented leaders. They are deprived of power and position. Besides, common peoples are supporting Prime Minister Modi ji. Mamta Banerjee has already been started her door to door campaign to distribute various opportunities like Kishan sathi , free Mediclaim policy and many more. She and her soldiers are trying to refurbish and cementing in party’s cracks and holes . Though the people of Bengal ( Hindus) is to believe in non violence and not in Hindutywa , but common people loves Modiji . During pandemic they were given support (money) by the Prime Minister, so common people must not betray him. But Mamtaji always are trying to throw ink in him . Let see what happens in future.

MOTHER KALI

THE DESTRUCTIVE FORM OF LIFE

Ma Kali Sree Ramkrishna

THE SON OF MOTHER KALI

AND LET SHYAMA DANCE THERE”(Rendered from Bengali)
Beaut’ous blossoms ravishing with perfume,
Swarms of maddened bees buzzing all around ;
The silver moon—a shower of sweet smile,
Which all the dwellers of heaven above
Shed lavishly upon the homes of earth ;
The soft Malaya breeze, whose magic touch
Opens to view distant memory’s folds ;
Murmuring rivers and brooks, rippling lakes
With restless Bhramaras wheeling over
Gently waving lotuses unnumbered ;
Foaming flow cascades—a streaming music—
To which echo mountain caves in return ;
Warblers, full of sweet-flowing melody,
Hidden in leaves, pour hearts out—love discourse ;
The rising orb of day, the painter divine,
With his golden brush but lightly touches
The canvas earth and a wealth of colours
Floods at once o’er the bosom of nature,
—Truly a museum of lovely hues—
Waking up a whole sea of sentiments.

The roll of thunder, the crashing of clouds,
War of elements spreading earth and sky;
Darkness vomiting forth blinding darkness,
The Pralaya wind angrily roaring;
In quick bursts of dazzling splendour flashes
Blood-red terrific lightning, dealing death;
Monster waves roaring like thunder, foaming,
Rush impetuous to leap mountain peaks;
The earth booms furious, reels and totters,
Sinks down to its ruin, hurled from its place;
Piercing the ground, stream forth tremendous flames.
Mighty ranges blow up into atoms.

A lovely villa, on a lake of blue—
Festooned with dusters of water-lilies;
The heart-blood of ripe grapes capped with white foam
Whispering softly tells tale of passion;
The melody of the harp floods the ears,
And by its air, time, and harmony rich,
Enhances desire in the breast of man ;
What stirring of emotions! How many
Hot sighs of Love! And warm tears coursing down!
The Bimba – red lips of the youthful fair,
The two blue eyes—two oceans of feelings;
The two hands eager to advance—love’s cage—
In which the heart, like a bird, lies captive.
The martial music bursts, the trumpets blow,
The ground shakes under the warriors’ tread;
The roar of cannon, the rattle of guns,
Volumes of smoke, the gruesome battlefield,
The thundering artillery vomits fire
In thousand directions; shells burst and strike
Vital parts of the body; elephants
And horses mounted are blown up in space;
The earth trembles under this infernal dance;
A million heroes mounted on steeds
Charge and capture the enemy’s ordnance,
Piercing through the smoke and shower of shells
And rain of bullets; forward goes the flag,
The emblem of victory, of heroism
With the blood, yet hot, streaming down the staff,
Followed by the rifles, drunk with war-spirit;
Lo! the ensign falls, but the flag proceeds
Onwards on the shoulder of another;
Under his feet swell heaps of warriors
Perished in battle; but he falters not.
The flesh hankers for contacts of pleasure,
The senses for enchanting strains of song,
The mind hungers for peals of laughter sweet,
The heart pants to reach realms beyond sorrow;
Say, who cares exchange the soothing moonlight
For the burning rays of the noontide sun?
The wretch whose heart is like the scorching sun,
—Even he fondly loves the balmy moon;
Indeed, all thirst for joy. Breathes there the wretch
Who hugs pain and sorrow to his bosom?
Misery in his cup of happiness,
Deadly venom in his drink of nectar,
Poison in his throat—yet he clings to hope!
Lo! how all are scared by the Terrific,
None seek Elokeshi  whose form is Death.
The deadly frightful sword, reeking with blood,
They take from Her hand, and put a lute instead!
Thou dreaded Kâli, the All-destroyer,
Thou alone art true; Thy shadow’s shadow
Is indeed the pleasant Vanamâli.
O Terrible Mother, cut quick the core,
Illusion dispel—the dream of happiness,
Rend asunder the fondness for the flesh.

    True, they garland Thee with skulls, but shrink back
In fright and call Thee, “O All-merciful!”
At Thy thunder peal of awful laughter,
At Thy nudeness—for space is thy garment—
Their hearts sink down with terror, but they say,
“It is the demons that the Mother kills!”
They only pretend they wish to see Thee,
But when the time comes, at Thy sight they flee.
Thou art Death! To each and all in the world
Thou distributest the plague and disease
—Vessels of venom filled by Thine own hands.
O thou insane! Thou but cheatest thyself,
Thou cost not turn thy head lest thou behold.
Ay, the form terrible of the Mother.
Thou courtest hardship hoping happiness,
Thou wearest cloak of Bhakti and worship,
With mind full of achieving selfish ends.
The blood from the severed head of a kid
Fills thee with fear—thy heart throbs at the sight—for contacts of pleasure , , the heart pants to reach realms beyond . /
Verily a coward! Compassionate?
Bless my soul! A strange state of things indeed!
To whom shall I tell the truth?—Who will see?
Free thyself from the mighty attraction—
The maddening wine of love, the charm of sex.
Break the harp! Forward, with the ocean’s cry!
Drink tears, pledge even life—let the body fall.
Awake, O hero! Shake off thy vain dreams,
Death stands at thy head—does fear become thee?
A load of misery, true though it is—
This Becoming—know this to be thy God!
His temple—                                the Shmashân among corpses
And funeral pyres; unending battle —
That verily is His sacred worship;
Constant defeat — let that not unnerve thee;
Shattered be little self, hope, name, and fame;
Set up a pyre of them and make thy heart
A burning-ground.
                      And let Shyâmâ dance there.

¶¶       The Central Idea of the Poem :                           Bengali version likethe English version of the poem “And LetShyama Dance There , which is translated by Swami Vivekananda, have also four stanzas. First two stanzas are smaller than the 3 rd stanza . The length of the staza 1, 2, and 4 th stanza is almost same.

  ¶¶ The Saint poet portrays the beautiful pictures of the Nature in the first stanza .

  Beautious blossoms ravishing with perfume’, ”maddened bees bazzing all around’, ‘ showering sweet smile of the silver moon ‘, ‘ the soft Malaya breeze ‘, ‘murmuring rivers and brookes’, ‘Bhramaras wheeling over gently waving lotuses’ , foaming flow cascades – a streeming music , ‘ sweet flowing melody, ‘ love discourse’, the painter divine’, ‘the canvas earth and a wealth of colour,’ – all these words made a nice picture of the nature. The earth has been flooded with the spring . And naturally waking up the sentiments of sea in the earth. This is good side of the life . We enjoy the life with the outer sparking , but it’s half true. We have to face sorrows and pains too. Life is not bed of roses, we too have to face the thrones of life. Like nature , the life is full of struggle.

  ¶¶ In the 2nd stanza , the poet compares the hardship of life with the horror of Nature. It is just opposite of the first stanza .  Here he painted a dark and horrible scinerio to express the monster form of the life – struggle. ‘ Blood red terrific lightening’, ‘the roll of thunder,’  ‘the crashing clouds’  are the elements of war which prevails in the nature , . The Saint poet uses some beautiful images to show the dreadful forms of Nature. These images are taken from the natural world. It beautifies the inner meaning of lines. We can refer here some of these images which are beautifully presented by the poet, like ‘ darkness vomiting forth blinding darkness’ , ‘ the Prolaya winds angrily roaring,’ ‘ blood-red terrific lightening ‘ , ‘ monster waves roaring like thunder’ . He used compound imagery in this poem. These are extraordinary remarkable.

¶¶ First three lines of the poem percepts sound, smell and sight respectively and forth and fifth line create the sense of mundane bliss and pleasure, showered on the earth by some divine power. The poet is superb in applying wonderful imagery which proves his mastery over language. By using these imageries he portrays prominently the apparent diversity with innate unity in Mother Kali or Shyama and Nature’s peaceful and fierce glance.Swami Vivekananda unfolds in this poem the world of consciousness which makes a criss cross of nature and the mind of man with the play of passion and desire in spontaneity. The apparent clamness is itself a bold suggestions for the human mind to welcome the events to follow as an outcome .

¶¶ 3rd  stanza of the poem is very important in respect of  the central idea or as the theme of the poem. In this stanza, the poet prepares us for the terrible atmosphere where Shyama or Kali would dance in full fury .  But before that he paints a comfort journey of life where he tells us the inherent desire of man like making a lovely villa on the lakeside where water lilies are heading towards sky . He also used some pictorial elements as portrayed through symbols in the ” heart – blood ” of the ripe grapes with foams as caps has also the elements of consciousness with which the poet prepares us to face the challenges of life . He portrays the furious form of a Divine Mother and Her destructive activities. Amid the supernatural atmosphere that symbolises the conscious vision of terror , the imagery like ” Bimba – red lips ” and the ocean like two blue eyes ” along with the ” bird – like captive heart bring forth a perfect image of Shyama or Kali . It’s she who dominates the whole situation with brilliance beyond the range of consciousness. The Saint poet further detailing the atmosphere of the battlefield . We have read the battle of Kurukhetra in Srimod Bhwagbat Gita . We are to face every now and then this war in our lives. Battle is nothing but the struggle with our inner world verses outer world. This battle is also the another form of Mother Kali. Kali , actually the deity of destruction. The poet paints a horrible picture of the battlefield.  “The roar of cannons, the rattle of guns”,         ” the thundering artilleries vomits fire”,   “the earth trembles under  this infarnal dance “,  “And rain of of bullets, forward goes the flag “, The emblem of victory, of heroism ,/ With the blood , yet hot , /streaming down the staff ” all these words are used for expressing the furious of battlefield . Truely, this material world is full of struggle. It’s a battlefield . We fight for the worldly pleasure, for sensual love and we become wounds . The mind hungers for peals of laughter sweet , The flesh hankers for contacts of pleasure, the heart pants to reach realms beyond sorrow – all these are the characteristics of material world. Next Swamiji describes the figure of Kali

After every happiness comes misery; they may be far apart or near. The more advanced the soul, the more quickly does one follow the other. What we want is neither happiness nor misery. Both make us forget our true nature; both are chains — one iron, one gold; behind both is the Atman, who knows neither happiness nor misery. These are states and states must ever change; but the nature of the Soul is bliss, peace, unchanging. We have not to get it, we have it; only wash away the dross and see it.

Stand upon the Self, then only can we truly love the world. Take a very, very high stand; knowing out universal nature, we must look with perfect calmness upon all the panorama of the world. It is but baby’s play, and we know that, so cannot be disturbed by it. If the mind is pleased with praise, it will be displeased with blame. All pleasures of the senses or even of the mind are evanescent but within ourselves is the one true unrelated pleasure, dependent upon nothing. It is perfectly free, it is bliss. The more our bliss is within, the more spiritual we are. The pleasure of the Self is what the world calls religion.

The internal universe, the real, is infinitely greater than the external, which is only a shadowy projection of the true one. This world is neither true nor untrue, it is the shadow of truth. “Imagination is the gilded shadow of truth”, says the poet . The outer sparking of the world makes us forget our true nature; both are chains — one iron, one gold; behind both is the Atman, who knows neither happiness nor misery.

This world is neither true nor untrue, it is the shadow . So Get rid , in the first place, of all these limited ideas and set God in every person. Let kick off all the veils of differentiations. The highest creed is Oneness . The ecstatic finale breathes an air of Supreme consciousness , ” This becoming know this to be thy God” and that shows the avenue of sacred worship of all the serene . Let read this lines from ” And Let Shyama Dance There” – “Bless my soul ! A strange state of things … This becoming know this to be thy God”.

Here we see Vivekananda’s heroic struggle to rise above the surging waves of the world, which is the projection of all our undigested subconscious urges . He sees and follows the path through it all , but what gives him the light and the strength to do so is the dancing form of the black One, Mother Kali.

** Next post I will discuss about the philosophy which was imparted from Master Sri Ramakrishna to his most favourite disciple, Naren ( Swami Vivekananda)

THE GITA : A MUST- READ BOOK

THE GITA is our holy book – the must read book of Hindus . Anyone irrespective of caste creed and religion can read this valuable words of wisdom . The  spiritual seekers can enrich and enlighten their lives with the knowledge of Gita.
As a book of scripture, the Bhagavadgita has assumed a position of universal interest. Its teachings have gained appreciation not only in India, but far beyond its borders. I think almost all the God – seekers are aware of this book like Bible and Koran. The is oldest amongst them.

       WHY GITA IS GREAT ?It’s very difficult to explain its greatness and the highest esoteric doctrines in a small piece of writing . It’s the essence of Vedas . It’s language is so sweet and placid that man can easily understand it after a small practice. Actually, if we read this holy book with utmost devotion, we can be enriched with the knowledge of higher thoughts on spiritual upliftment.

THE GITA AS A MUST GUIDE BOOK

 Gita is the guide book of Hindus who are interested in pursuing the spiritual growth in life. Only one book can change your life if you have to achieve the truth. We know that the Truth is God and the God is Truth. In Gita , the truth of life is being delivered by Sri Krishna as it’s said, ” Sri Krishna Ubacha “. The thoughts in Gita are so deep that none can arrive at their end even after constant study throughout a life – time. Everyday they exhibit new facets of Truth , and therefore they remain ever fresh and new . When scrutinized with a concentrated mind , when attentively read between the two lines , possessed of faith and reverence, every verse of the Gita will clearly appear as full of the deepest mystery.   It will be not unjust to say that the manner in which the Gita describes the virtues, glory and secret of God , is hardly found in any other scriptures of the world .

WHY I AM TELLING SO ?

For in any other books , the teachings are generally mixed up , more or less , with worldly subjects , but the Gita uttered by the God Himself is such an incomparable book that not a single word will be found in it , which is devoid of some spiritual import.  To be continued …

MY JOURNEY TO BLOGGING

A DIARY OF A GIPSY

This is a white board where I want to decorate some gems of words which I have received from Indian culture and from spiritual wealth of ancient sages . I have been trying here to depict the critical life journey of a village boy who in course of time and actions walks from native village to town and then one city to another in India for enjoying to have education, service and livelihood through a jig jug way .

ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE IN LIFE

I have experienced a lot , good or bad, but was enriched and try to enlightening myself . In my boyhood days I was not shy or shaky, but vibrant. Perhaps I wasn’t bold and haven’t healthy physique, but everyday I used to go high school in a remote village by walking which was 4 kilometres away from my home. There’s river Ganga ( Bhagirathi) in between our village and the village where the school is situated. After returning home in afternoon and getting some foods I regularly joined in the football or cricket team to play minimum one to one and half hours. We had to return home before dusk . From 7 to 9.30 pm was our reading time . At 9.30 it’s dinner time. Generally we have no task afterwards. Sometime we used to play indoor games Ludu with my elder brother or sister.

STUDY TIME :

But on the eve of half yearly or final exam we were to continue our studying after dinner. We had to get up at 4.30/5.00 O’clock in the morning for revision our study material for preparation. During holidays sometimes we used to sing music in our Boithakkhana along with my elder brother’s friend. Sometime we have played Ha du du , Nunthari , Badminton and also freehand exercise with Yogasana.

DURING DURGAPUJA :

We enjoyed a lot during our Durgapuja festival. Everyday I used to visit Durga Mandir to see the mud built statues of the deities. I also then used to collect Shiuli flowers

HIGHER EDUCATION :

I have been shifted to our town house for college education. There was no college near to our village home . Now there’s a college. From then I have spent almost all the time in Berhampore Murshidabad. After graduating from Krishnath College, I studied in The University of Calcutta for post graduation and Ph.D . Almost 5/6 years I had to spend in Calcutta ( now Kolkata) in West Bengal. Here I want to express some words about my health. I wasn’t sound health during this period. I was brunt severely with hot oil accidentally just before part one Honours degree exam . And was being admitted to hospital for treatment. From then I was not stable at all. However, I have got my M. A and Ph.D digress without any break.

BEGINNING OF MY SERVICE LIFE :

Just one year after I was posted in a college as a guest professor for some months. But it wasn’t permanent job. Then after some months I have been given a service as faculty member at Krishnath College in lien vacancy .
