WHEN MOUNTAIN VILLAGE A HOME

What are some places in India that are hard to believe exist until you visit them?

I belong to a small village named Kalpa, in the remotest part of Himachal Pradesh. I just want to show you the glimpse of our life in the village.

This is how our village looks like.

We have deep faith in our deities.

Ours is the mixture of Buddhism and Hinduism.

Our houses.

This is how we clear snow from our rooftop.

Cold, harsh yet beautiful winters.

Summers.

  1. Rudra Sir ,you are very lucky to belong such a beautiful place on Earth called Kalpataru or simply Kalpa.I had the rare honour of visiting Kalpa twice. My first visit was in 2013 Oct with family by Taxi from Chandigarh to Kinnaur & back visiting numerous scenic places of Kinnaur. Stayed at hotel Kinnaur Kailash and having mesmerising views of Majestic Kinner Kailash with amazing transformation of colors of the peak! We thoroughly enjoyed plucking of Golden apple in orchards(on payment basis,of course). We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed life amidst the beauty of nature. My second tour was in 2014 while returning from Manali-Lahaul spiti trip via kinnaur. You can visit my both blogs on my site although you have posted stunning photos of your area .Thanks for sharing !
