Yoga mudra. Mudra Can Balance Your Mind

” I am bent , but not broken . I am scarred but not disfigured . I am sad , but not hopeless . I am tired ,but not powerless. I am angry, but not bitter. I am depressed but not giving up .”.

you believe or not , Panicked – mental disorder can be controlled . I am going to tell you how it is possible. I’m explaining it as I was victimized in such a conditions, not the saga of an experience of any other people. So my readers might have been felt free to listen this story. To speak the truth , nobody can express their feelings of mental disorder. They won’t think they’re attacked in illness of mind .We generally feel of our physical ailments. But we are unaware about our mental conditions. We neglect it . We are not conscious about our mental health.

¶¶ The patient of depression is rarely acknowledged, and seldom spoken of openly. But in case of me , it was totally dark . I couldn’t make out that I was not getting well in my mental states . I suffered a longtime in piles. And also in Typhoid in my boyhood days ,may be nine or ten at the age . But I was not weak both in mentally and physically . I used to go to my School and College by walking .Didn’t use bicycle or any other vehicles. The distance of both the place 3/4 km . The School was too far from the College . Almost 7/8 km walking everyday . Having returned home , after some refreshment we had to precipitate in playing any games . In winter we used to play cricket, and other seasons we played football. But during my College and University days I was very busy in studying. Occasionally , We have played Badminton in winter. Rather I did practice of yoga and exercises in home or hostel . I was not well both mentally and physically. Sometimes I felt I was being attacked in illness . My mind didn’t work until I reached to my acquainted place. This was happened during my PG and Ph. D completion periods and continued it when I joined my service in College as a faculty. I didn’t like to spent in crowded bus or big classes. Even I couldn’t travel alone . But I couldn’t feel uneasy in home .

¶¶ It became worsening after my married . I had to face some family problems. There was a problem of adjustment. My elder brother and sister – in-law couldn’t adjust and vice versa . In this circumstances, I became seriously ill. My wife , Santa took me to the Doctor in my city . He prescribed some medicines of BP and sleeping . But still I didn’t feel well . Coming to my father – in – law house , I was diagnosed by a veteran Doctor, MRCP . He prescribed some medicines of stress & tension. Gradually , My mental panic subsided , but not fully cured . I strictly followed the prescription and started practicing yoga and exercises.

¶¶ We are very fond of travelling. Every year in vacation we visit some places of interest in India. That year we went to Rajasthan. There we stayed at Mt. Abu for five days in Projapita Brahmakumari guesthouse. One day we decided to go their International Hospital. Accidentally, we met a psychiatric doctor . We described there all my problems. After listening all about he told me that you never face panic after taking this medicine. Truly, I felt well after getting that medicines as prescribed by the Doctor. Many many thanks you , Doctor. You are my God . One medicine he prescribed ‘Pothiaden’ and after it now I take Surlift and mirtaj . It has no side effect. I am O.K .

Some biochemic medicines are also effective in this case like Kali Phos and Netrum Mur. For panic, Aconite 6/30 , Arsenicum album, Ignatia , Sepia (for women) , and Alumana and Baryta carb 30c (for older person) , Argent nitricum , Kali arsonicosum etc are very good homeopathic medicines .

In fact , compared to other physical ailments/diseases, the diagnosis and treatment of depression or other mental disorder is difficult to come by , and tackling it becomes even difficult. With more than 322 millions people suffering from depression and stress worldwide, stringent steps must be taken address the seriousness of depression, falling which the illness may soon become the next global epidemic. India has 1,400 depression people per 100,000 inhabitants. It’s to be thought, approximately 5 per cent of the global population, or 1 in every 20 people across the world is depressed. The United States has the largest number of depressed people worldwide per 100,000 inhabitants at 1,454. India ranks a close fifth , with 1,400 depressed people per 100,000 inhabitants. It’s not uncommon of us to come access a family member or friends who avoids social gatherings or occasions or seem reluctant during social interactions. I had the same intention during my phobias. I tried to fight shy that situations. Now I don’t hesitate to attend the social gatherings.

‘Only Medicine Can’t

Though medical diagnosis , treatment and medication is the primary need , but only these can’t help you to be escaped from mental depression and panic disorder. So , how ? I shall discuss all about it and also describe how I am enjoying a happy and joyful life in this complex world overcoming day to day stresses and mental pressures . ¶¶ GET PROPER SLEEP : ” Tired minds don’t plan well. Sleep first, Plan later. ” — said Walter Reisch . So get proper Sleep . Mind like all the other organs , needs rest and proper sleep. You need to concentrate the most when you have something important to accomplish and depriving yourself of sleep at that moment would not be beneficial in any way . Get proper sleep and that will make your mind concentration. You want to excel in your business or office works , but can’t concentrate , deadline is looming large at work , but your mind wanders off — these problems are normal but can create many issues. So you should try to boost your concentration and perform better . Proper sleeping habit can enrich your concentrations. ¶¶ EXERCISE REGULARLY: Arabic Exercises and other physical activities promote oxygen flow to the brain . This in turn makes the brain work more efficiently and boosts your concentration. SIMPLE EXERCISES: Simple exercises which indulge your senses to the maximum should be done to improve your concentration. For example, try to hear the sounds of small things around you even when you are sitting idle , try to count the stairs you use in a day and things like that. This will help to increase the involvement of your brain in every activity you do and hence will increase your concentration too . ¶¶ WORK WHEN THE BRAIN IS MORE ACTIVE : It’s said that 7 A. M to 9 P. M is the time when the brain is most active. Studies or things that require attention and concentration are best done at this time . Instead of indulging in Television or net – mobile or other stuff , this time should be utilized in mind related work . ¶¶ EAT GOOD : Eat food that are light and nutritious. Your meals should be such that they give you energy and a good fuel for your body , but they should not be heavy . Try not to it heavy food on days you need proper concentration with work or studies, as heavy food only make you more lethargic and sleepy . Though it is recommended to eat a full breakfast, full does not necessarily mean heavy. ¶¶ TAKE BREAKS: If you expect your brain to work 24×7 or continuously for a stretch of time , then your expectations are wrong at the first place . Take small breaks between works. Walk in the open air , or listen to a song , take a power naps or whatever suits you better. ¶¶ DO ONE TASK AT ONE INSTANCE: Don’t take multiple tasks in one instance. When you open a plethora of tasks together, I think your concentration will be definitely get hampered and you will not be able to complete any of them on time. Do one task at a time , and till your mind that you will not jump off to the next thing till the time you are not through with what you are doing first. Multi – tasking is not really healthy. ¶¶ YOGA AND MEDITATION : This is most important and the superb source of energies and strength of mind as well as concentration . Yoga and Meditation is an age old method practiced in India . And now it has been developed worldwide to get rid of mental depression and to have peace of mind . Swami Vivekananda preached Raja – Yoga in America to his disciples and from then it is familiar in the West . So many yoga teachers are recruited there to teach yoga and meditation. Breathing exercise and yoga practice should be performed in silent and clean environment . It can enhance your concentration abilities manifold. When your brain is at peace , it can work and perform better and this is what meditation helps you achieve. Yoga is not something practice now and then , but something to be practiced regularly.
